Thanksgiving was the 1st American holiday.
It began in 1621 when Indians and Pilgrims got together for a 3 day feast of food and games. They ate turkey together.
Today families eat many kinds of food and spend time together. Turkey, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie are popular foods on this day. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and American football games are special events that people enjoy. Thanksgiving is a great holiday!
